Rule of Awesome # 489. Be thankful in advance.
One day, I’m going to open a school of awesome to teach people how to live more truthfully, and powerfully. But first, I have to have fun testing the lessons on myself
One rule I’ve found most powerful is the Golden Rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Proactivity. The energy one puts into the world is ultimately what one gets back. This is science, as all systems must balance themselves out.
This transfers into being thankful in advance. When the world sees that you are grateful enough to accept good things graciously, more doors are bound to open up. And doing something with no expectation of reward usually produces the best benefits.
Besides, it doesn’t take much to adopt a “thankfulness first” mindset. Simply appreciate the simple things you have (ability to breathe, think, have cool ninja powers) and go on from there. Soon, you’ll be thank-firsting a brand new red Ferrari.
mmmmm ferrari…

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
YES! Amen and Hallelujah. I almost always take this into account when making decisions – even if the person wronged me.

You made me think of a scenerio:
I wake up to a queen’s breakfast.. I thank my “beau” and ask him what it’s for… he says, “I’m thanking you in advance for that good head tonight.”
Fantasies, fantasies… all day. LOL

Wouldn’t it be nice if public school’s curriculum were given a complete overhaul of living truthfully and powerfully?

“When the world sees that you are grateful enough to accept good things graciously, more doors are bound to open up.”
I strongly believe this….

Nicki:Man, now that I’m thinking about this…if men did things like that, don’t you think we’d be more willing and active participants?
