Random Thought Time. Election Edition.
I’m really choked up today…I’m can’t do anything really witty or smooth. I’ll just post random thoughts about the elections.
- I’ve never truly cared about a candidate, or really wanted them to win. I just wanted the other guy to lose….lol. For the first time I feel as if I can make the world better by being an American.
- Will this affect how we feel about being Americans? When others talk about their country, they do it with much pride. I’ve never really understood that, because I’ve never fully felt included.
- Before we move on, yes, part of it is a black thing. No, I’m not voting for Barack just because he is black (trust me, if Ward Connerly ran, I’d rather vote for Paris Hilton). But for the first time in my life, I actually feel a person like me is represented. Smart, optimistic, smooth, and like me, wears the finest of custom made suits (+1 witty points lol)
- I don’t care if I have to wait fitty-leven hours to vote. To think what our parents, grands, greats and great greats have endured to fight for civil rights…I will gladly sacrifice my bday.
- I wonder how my Grandma feels…to see the struggle of the civil rights movement, then a black president all in her lifetime. I can’t even imagine.
- I hope this inspires comraderie and brotherhood between everyone, white, black, Asian, Indian, Native American, Aboriginal, Latino, Hispanic, and even this alien I have over here named Bibble.
- Always been a bystander or victim of history. But never a part or contributor. With my vote, I can say I’ve helped changed the direction of the country.
- The change ultimately lies with us. If you want to make it, then you will, no matter what. No matter who wins tomorrow, I have been inspired to make the world better.
- This day will decide the future of America for at least the next 50-100 years.
- It’s actually my birthday…what if it became a major holiday…***crosses fingers***
I’ve never been part of history like this. I am excited, happy, nervous…hey what’s this? I actually feel emotion lol. I thought I turned those off mwahaha. Anyway, voting, praying, and praying. Chea

Same for me! I definitely thing this will have an effect on my pride for United States and being an “American.”

“- Always been a bystander or victim of history. But never a part or contributor. With my vote, I can say I’ve helped changed the direction of the country.”
I agree….. When I voted a few weeks ago it was just like a rush that came over me. I will never forget that moment. I just paused and looked at the ballot in amazement because I had actually voted for our 1st African American President.
I can’t wait until I’m interviewed in the future by a young child who wants to know how it felt to vote for Barack Obama in the 2008 Presidential Election.
~ Happy Birthday ~

Happy Birthday man.

I only voted for him because he’s black. If he wasn’t black, I wouldn’t have voted this time around. If a white guy was saying all the stuff he was saying, I most likely wouldn’t care because, no matter what, one of the old white guys would win. And old white guys are going to do whatever they want anyway because that’s what old white guys do.
I never would have imagined that in my lifetime, a black man would be running for president. It always seemed like an old white guy club. It’s mind-blowing. How can anyone be black and not want him to be president?
I waited an hour and a half to vote and didn’t feel like that was long enough! It’s amazing how far this country has progressed in just 40ish years. It almost seems like anything is possible. I bet within the next 10 years weed will be legal everywhere and flying jetpacks will be common. Imagine that!

Happy Birthday Why So…
I agree with a lot of the points you make. I have never voted for someone before because i actually wanted them to win – like you i just wanted the other guy to lose.
